Everytime Learning ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Everytime Learning mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect basic profile information provided by your chosen authentication provider (Google, Apple, or Facebook), which may include:
- Name
- Email address
- Authentication provider identifier
Your interactions with these authentication providers are also governed by their respective privacy policies (Google, Apple, Facebook). We only receive the information listed above and do not access your provider account beyond what is necessary for authentication.
1.2 Learning Data
We collect data generated through your use of the App, including:
- Language preferences (native and target languages)
- Selected learning themes
- Sentences received, saved, and favorited
- Learning streak and progress data
- Achievement metrics and badges earned
- AI chat conversation history
- Word of the Day viewing history
- Notification preferences and schedule settings
1.3 Device and Usage Information
In production builds, we may collect:
- Device type, operating system, and version
- Crash reports and performance diagnostics (via Sentry)
- App usage patterns for service improvement
1.4 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your location data
- We do not access your contacts, photos, or camera
- We do not track you across other apps or websites
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, personalize, and improve the language learning experience
- Generate sentences tailored to your selected themes and difficulty level
- Deliver scheduled notifications with learning content
- Synchronize your learning progress across devices
- Provide AI-powered chat assistance for language questions
- Translate definitions and content to your native language
- Generate text-to-speech audio for sentence pronunciation
- Monitor and prevent abuse of the service (rate limiting)
- Diagnose and fix technical issues (crash reporting)
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the App. Each processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies:

4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase (PostgreSQL) with Row Level Security (RLS) enabled on all tables, ensuring that each user can only access their own data. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS/SSL) and employ access controls to protect data at rest.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate purposes such as:
- Abuse and fraud prevention
- Security and audit logs
- Payment and transaction records
- Legal compliance and dispute resolution
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to certain processing activities

7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If you are a minor between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have your parent or legal guardian's consent to use the App. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
8. Advertising
The free tier of the App may display advertisements served by Google AdMob. These ads may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) and other non-personally-identifying information to deliver relevant content.
Where required by applicable law (e.g., in the European Economic Area or California), we will obtain your consent before serving personalized advertisements. You may opt out of personalized ads at any time through your device settings:
- iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
- Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization

9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
